Description:
SOLD.. Here is another real nice and crisp Smith & Wesson 1 ½ RF second model. .32 RF caliber with standard 3 ½" barrel. S/N 83870 with matching assembly numbers of course. The finish as you can see is very nice. The barrel retains 95%+ original nickel. The ejector rod under the barrel even has 95% finish. Shows very little use. The frame has 98% finish including the front and rear grip straps. The cylinder has flaked as is common to about 75% or so. The balance where the nickel is missing is a smooth un touched brown patina with NO pitting any where on the gun. Never cleaned on or messed with. Just outstanding finish remaining on this one. The mechanics are excellent. A very crisp and tight gun. Absolutely NO barrel wobble at the hinge. It is tight as a new gun. Rock solid barrel to frame fit at the latch also. NO cylinder wobble front to rear or side to side like you will usually find with this model. Markings are excellent. Grips are excellent NO cracks or chips with most all the varnish remaining. Right grip numbered to gun as is correct. Right grip is also lighter in color than the left but are original to the gun with a snap on fit. The bore is very good with just minor roughness as to be expected as are the cylinder chambers. Original front sight never filed on or messed with. The screw heads are excellent as well and show no tampering. This is a very crisp and clean little Smith for your collection. Lots of finish here for the money and is absolutely crisp and tight everywhere. Shows little use. Call me at 765-728-8049 or e-mail with any questions or more photos. $15 insured priority mail. NO FFL needed as is antique.
