Description:
SOLD.. Very nice Smith & Wesson 1 ½ .32 RF caliber. Standard 3 ½" barrel. In the much harder to find blue finish !!!!!. Most all you will see in this model is nickel finish. S/N 70099 with matching assembly numbers also. This little gun has had some poor storage in the distant past but still has survived with an outstanding amount of original deep and rich blue remaining. The barrel has about 85% deep blue. The frame has about 85% deep blue as well. The cylinder blueing has flaked and not worn off. It is now and even medium brown patina with no blue remaining. This is common on blued guns for the cylinder not having much remaining finish from cleaning and firing. The gun does have some un touched surface crud here and there from poor storage in the past as you can clearly see in the photos. I have taken this into consideration on the price also. NO pitting and I do not think any of this is into the metal at all so it could be CAREFULLY and PROFESSIONALLY cleaned if so desired but please do not ruin from over cleaning as so many have been. I would leave it as it is and just keep it oiled and stored properly. I took these photos in direct sun light so you can see the true color this gun has.. The case colors on the ejector rod have faded out to a silver gray color. Still traces of case colors on the hammer in places. The markings are excellent. The rosewood grips are excellent as well showing NO cracks and still retain 90% varnish and numbered to the gun of course. Perfect factory fit. The mechanics are excellent. Crisp and tight as a new gun. The barrel has absolutely NO wobbles at the hinge and it is tight as new also. Rock solid barrel to frame fit at the barrel latch also. This gun is tight as new everywhere !!! NO cylinder wobble front to rear or side to side like you always see on this model. The bore still shines with some minor roughness as to be expected and the cylinder chambers have some crud inside that will clean out nicely. Nothing that detracts from this fine little gun. Here is a very nice blued Smith pocket revolver that still has lots of deep bright blue remaining for the money. Not as cheap as the nickel finished guns but still priced reasonable for condition. I should be keeping this one but I can’t keep’em all!!!! Call 765-728-8049 or e-mail with any questions or more photos. $15 insured priority mail. You will like this one !!!!
