The lock plate is marked 860 (860 = 1860 mfg date) with the Austrian Eagle proof. The front and rear barrel bands also have the Austrian Eagle and the number 17. The side plate is also marked 17, as is the barrel. The wooden ramrod also has the hole in the end for a dowel to slip in to form a "T" handle. There is some wood chipping around the exposed ram rod channel and there is a slight crack under the ramrod channel. The barrel is marked on the right flat "5H14" and under the barrel is marked "OMT". I have seen this type of rifled musketoon called the the "Confederate Type 1".
