Item Description - BERETTA DT-10 TRIDENT X TRAP

For Sale is a lightly used DT-10 Trident X Trap. This item comes to us from a trusted source and competition shooter. It has roughly 7500 rounds through it and is barley broken in. The wood checkering is very sharp and crisp. Some bluing is missing but everything is consistent with normal wear and competition shooting. NOTE: The serial numbers match on the barrel, Forearm Grip, and stock. This gun also has upgraded Glossy Walnut from the factory (compare to the other DT-10's you will see on the ). Guns of this quality are selling for $7,800 to $8,500 brand new so you are getting a real value with this used offering. This is a complete competition set up and perfect for the experienced shooter that wants to step up to the next level of shooting. Below are pictures of the actual gun. We have tried to highlight any area that shows wear so that you will have confidence in what you are buying. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

The Beretta DT-10 is made by the oldest firearms company in the world, founded by Pietro Beretta of Verona Italy. THIS IS THEIR FLAGSHIP COMPETITION GUN! The DT10 guns are treated as Premium Grade shotguns at all phases of production. A focus on detail and the coupling of all components, primary (receiver, barrel, fore-end iron) and secondary (trigger group, top lever), makes each gun unique, giving the shooter an instrument that has been personally tested and perfected by the master gunsmith.

Features, dimensions, weight, balance, point of impact...everything in Beretta's competition over-and-under, the DT10 Trident, has been professionally studied and refined to meet and surpass the technical requirements of serious competition. The shape of the stock and fore-end were developed according to the requirements of the world's best shooters. The weights of all components ensure the best possible distribution of mass, the optimum balance and swing required in each sport. For unsurpassed performance the barrels are specific to each discipline, varying in thickness, in the upper rib design, in the side rib design and in the sighting plane.

If you are committed to shoot at the highest level of performance, or shooting for the honor of your country, you better not be using junk. There are millions of shooters out there, but if you are aspiring to shoot in the top 1% – be prepared to shoot pallet loads of ammo and hundreds if not thousands of hours of practice and training. This gun can handle the tens of thousands of rounds you will shoot each month getting to your goal

Olympic gold medalists such as Vincent Hancock and Kim Rhode (I met her once at our local Cabelas) use a Beretta DT-10. These guys/girls have virtually unlimited budget and choice in firearms to use but these are their picks and are untouchable in performance and records.

Over and under shotguns are almost bullet proof by design and having malfunctions are rare but can still happen. On a lesser gun, the lock work can fail by opening the barrels after firing, double firing when only one shot was meant etc. This gun can withstand thousands of rounds of practice a month. If you miss the clay it’s not the gun. Even the high end guns will experience failures in its firing system just from the sheer amount of rounds fired. In ISSF sanctioned international skeet matches, you are given 5 minutes or less to remedy a broken gun or replace it with a spare gun. If you look at the Olympic podium shooters and scrutinize the gear, it is either a Perazzi Mx-8 (MX-2000) or a DT-10, what they all have in common is a detachable trigger. The DT-10 has a detachable trigger that will allow you to perform quick repairs such as replacing broken firing pins or screws or seasonal maintenance. The DT-10 has a beefy crossbar that goes over the locking lugs with a slight taper, meaning the action is always held tight and as the gun wears the crossbar will incrementally sink deeper to lock the action to the barrels. There are replaceable shoulders on the gun that can easily be replaced if the gun wears down. Truly this is a gun that is designed to shot every day and be buried with its master if there are no heirs that shoot.
