Description:
Colt 1902 38 military. Very rare. Serial number 14650. This is among the first 500 mfg approx 1907. Serial number 15000-15200 were military contract colts. The next serial numbers made were 14999 down to 11000 than up from 15201 to approx 49000. This colt features front serration and a rounded hammer. Very rare. All original as is the stamped magazine and excellent grips with no cracks or chips. The serial number inside the slide matches the frame. This features thinning blue with gray patina and is elegant for this 107 year old colt. The rifling is very nice. This a must for any advanced collection. Remember there were approx 40,000 mfg but only 3000 feature the front serration and rounded hammer which is in higher demand to the advanced collector. This is a great piece of history.
