Description:
This attractive Kentucky flintlock rifle is trimmed with classic brass furniture, and stocked in very dark stained fine curly maple. The rifle has a superb rich finish with an understate elegance. Often referred to as a Tennessee style, this rifle is fitted with a correct lock, a 42 inch octagon barrel. All wood to metal fit is superior and precise, showing the hand of a master. The iron front sight is dovetail to the barrel. Rear sight - dovetail, browned steel, open style. Features double set triggers. The overall length is 58 inches and weighs 7 1/2 lbs. The barrel has deepbright and shinny rifling a true round ball shooter. Bore needs a good cleaning but no signs of wear or pitting. No damage to wood. All hardware is solid.
