Our Assessment:This is a Stevens Model 44 Single Shot Lever Action Rifle in caliber 32-40. It has a 1/2 round 1/2 octagon barrel which measures 7/8" at the muzzle. Blue is faded mostly blue brown and has scope mounting holes. Peep sight holes on the tang and 5 scope mount holes on the top of the barrel. Case coloring on the receiver is fading, but still visible. Forearm has several dings but stock is very good. Has a Swiss iron metal butt plate. Action is nice and tight.
