Karl DSchulnigg, Salzburg Austria custom Mauser in .243 Winchester manufactured in 1965 with 24" Boehler Spezial Steel barrel with ramp front sight, island rear sight with one standing leaf and barrel mounted sling swivel. Excellent bore. Mauser 98 action with swept butterknife bolt handle, double set triggers, and claw mounted Swarovski Habicht 4X scope. Scope has heavy verticle post and two heavy horizontal posts with fine crosshairs. This is a quality scope with excellent optics. Claw mounts are correctly done with the front mount on the barrel shank. Makers name engraved on the floorplate. Monte Carlo stock with skip line checkering and cheekpiece. 14" LOP to hard factory buttplate. 7lb 7oz without scope and 8lb 7oz with.This is a 1965 time capsule in excellent overall condition with blue, checkering, and wood finish all at 98%. It does not appear that this fine European firearm has been hunted. I do not know where it has been hiding for the past 49 years but it has been well protected. Karl DSchulnigg continues to manfacture fine firearms in Salzburg to this day.
