Popularized by Jack O’Connor in his ”Gun Book”, the Model 71 in .348 caliber is an iconic big bore rifle/caliber combination in the classic Winchester lever action “saddle gun” design. This rifle is offered with FREE SHIPPING FOR THE BUYER. It has been in the same family since its original purchase. This deluxe post WWII rifle comes with the original checkered stock, leather sling, standard “open sights” (adjustable in the rear), excellent bore and recoil pad. There is only some light wear of the bluing at the end of the barrel, so overall it is in excellent condition. The stock only has some minor scratches. The serial number is – 33435 with a 23.25 inch barrel. Included in the sale (at no additional cost) is our stock of ammunition for the rifle. Included is two full boxes of 250gr. Silver tips, two boxes of 200gr. SPs, one box of 200gr. Silver tips, one partial box (6) 250gr. Silver tips and one partial box (8) 200gr. SP’s. A total of 114 live rounds and 26 empty casings.
