Description:
This mid-1970's vintage Merkel has undergone some functionality-focused repair and would need the attention of a qualified gunsmith in order to restore it to factory specifications. The left cocking indicator is missing and replaced by a threaded plug, and some wood repair and cosmetic work to screw heads would also be in order. Lockup is tight with no movement or binding issues.

Metal Condition: Bluing coverage on barrels is approximately 90 - 95% with some light scratches and freckling. Some case coloring remains in sheltered ares on receiver with balance patina. Screw heads show evidence of turning, left barrel cocking indicator missing with
Wood Condition: Stock and forend have light to moderate scratches and impressions from field use. Stock shows evidence of repaired damage on left side behind receiver scallops with minor splits in the stock on both sides and bottom.
