Description:
Serial #5326z, 9mm Para., 4 3/4” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a “cyq” coded pistol that has matching numbers on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block with the metal retaining about 97% of the original blue finish that has silvered lightly at the muzzle as well as on the projecting edges and bearing surfaces. The Waffenamt proofs are crisp and clear and the white and red paint is still present within the “F” and “S” indicators on the safety/de-cocker cut-out. The dark brown phenolic resin grips are in excellent shape with only trivial surface scratches and small blemishes, although there is a vertical hairline stress crack at the top rear of the right side panel. The pistol comes with a single Waffenamt marked, “jvd” coded magazine and is a simply excellent, almost new, example of a late war, Spreewerke-made P.38 that would make a great addition to any collection.
