NEW PRICE! NEW PRICE! NEW PRICE! WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SPECIAL ORDER SADDLE RING CARBINE .38-55 sn 606xxx. Features a special order half-magazine button mag configuration. 20" round barrel with a bright shiny bore: square base front sight and 2,000 yard carbine ladder rear sight. SRC stud and ring are present.
This 1912 manufactured, 102 year old carbine is in terrific condition retaining 92% original barrel blue and 90-92% original, strong receiver blue with most loss being thinning blue at the carry point and some high edge wear. Barrel band has faded. Lever and hammer retain strong and bright original case colors which are most handsome indeed. The lever edges have silvered. Buttplate retains about 75-80% blue. Wood rates at least very good with a slight hairline crack back of top tang but is sound and smooth.
Overall a superb early SRC in a terrific caliber with a neat special order feature.
