This is a Remington Model 40-XB Rangemaster in .308 Winchester. The single shot stainless steel receiver has a matte finish, showing minimal signs of wear or use. The stainless steel barrel is tapped for an iron front sight, and has a high polish finish showing minimal signs of wear or use. The American Walnut stock has a low luster finish, with a large dent on the left side of the forearm, and a small scuff on the bottom just forward of the trigger guard.
