Documented Pre-29 Revolver. 5-screw variation with 4" barrel. Blued frame and barrel. Goncalo Alves grips. Includes presentation box (replacement). Originally shipped from factory June, 1957. This handgun is referenced directly in the book "Smith & Wesson's 44 Magnum, The Model 29" writted by Bill Cross and Bob Radaker (See figure 20). Finish is near perfect on frame and barrel. Turn line on cylinder. Wood grips in excellent condition. 5-screw configuration is unusual for revolvers in this serial range.
