Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “Manufactured by Winchester Repeating Arms Co. Mew Haven Conn. USA. patented October 7 1879 22 W.C.F.” Small Winchester crest on base of Barrel. Underside of barrel has a number 2. The lower tang is marked "78117”.
Barrel Length: Number 2 barrel, 28” ?Sights / Optics: Globe front sight, Adjustable buck-horn rear sight and a Lymn peep sight on the tang. ?Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks show minimal wear, with small nicks and dings. Swiss Butt Plate
Type of Finish: Blue / Case Color Hardened ?Finish Originality: Original wood and metal finish
Bore Condition: Very good plus
Overall Condition:  The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Our Assessment: Smooth forearm with ebony forend insert and straight grip stock mounted with a brass Swiss but plate that was once nickel, but all most no nickel remaining.Wood to metal fit is excellent, Barrel blue is 90%.
