Description:
This is a Colt 1860 Army model .44 caliber. According to the serial #144645 the gun was made in 1863. All numbers match, except the wedge. There is an "E" inspector mark on the barrel group & cylinder and an "H" inspector mark on the tirgger guard. On the botton of the grips someone has carved out a small area for a lanyard to go thru the grips and around the frame base. Some has tried to "clean" the pistol. The bore is good with some light pitting. Better than average. It has a good trigger/hammer spring. Cylinder rotates and locks up good. A nice old Civil War era Colt.
