It is light weight like a carbine but it should be about 20". This looks like it was made out up of parts more than anything else. There is no bbl address. Receiver is engraved with the American Eagle on one side and numerous stars. On the other side is a Mexican Eagle that says "Death to Traitors" and some sort of American shield. The engraving is fairly crude but still doesn't look too bad. Lower tang has been repaired and the serial number has been crudely reapplied. Brass buttplate is fairly shiny and may have been polished some. The receiver is pretty well toned and is dark yellow patina. Bbl has turned plum/brown as well as the mag tube. Action functions nice. Fairly decent looking gun. Leroy Merz Antique Firearms specializes in antique and vintage Winchesters and other fine American firearms.
