Features a stag jumping a log on one side of the receiver. The opposite side has a banner for an inscription which is unused. The balance is scrolled with a punch background. Numerous borders and cross-hatch patterns and scallops around the action. This leads me to believe that it was done by Nimschke. Overall gun in beautiful cond. The stock has almost all orig lacquer with a few old dings and mars but very beautiful light blond finish. The bbl has sharp corners and excellent markings. A considerable amount of blue in protected areas turning a brown color. Bright shiny bore. Orig sights missing the slider on the back sight. Receiver is untouched and has turned a gorgeous deep mellow butterscotch patina. Very early all matching 6XX Serial Number range, and has a 3 page letter from George Madis that accompanies it.
