Champlin Firearms, Inc., originally starting out as Champlin - Haskins Firearms, began in Enid, Oklahoma in 1966 to build custom sporting rifles using an action of their own design. Jerry Haskins received a patent for this design in 1969. Today they are the only manufacturer of custom order rifles utilizing their own designed action.
