Description:
Serial # 166675, 303 Savage with 26 inch round barrel and excellent bore. This musket is stamped 892 issue number on the buttplate tang and has been sporterized with new sights and reshaped forend. The perch belly buttstock rates very good with a chip and two small cracks behind top tang and a filled hole in toe line. Forearm shows a filled hole for bandscrew, small crack on left side and added sling base. Metal retains perhaps 20% blue with balance a faded grey. An excellent candidate for restoration. This is a very late Savage musket. FFL or C&R
