Description:
Serial #551046, .30-06, 26? barrel with a very good bore that has some minor freckling within the grooves. This rifle has a 9-18 dated ?R? marked barrel and retains 92-95% of the original parkerized finish on the metal with gray fading and silvering at the muzzle as well as the other high edges and projections. The bolt shroud and rear sight components are ?E? marked (Eddystone) while the ?R? marked stock is very good with scattered handling marks and surface blemishes and has been arsenal refinished to fine condition with an added oil finish over lightly sanded wood and still crisp armory stamps on the underside of the wrist. A crisp ?RA-P? Raritan Arsenal rebuild cartouche is present on the right side of the stock. A heavily flaked but still serviceable Model 1907 leather sling is included. This is a very nice example of a World War II rebuilt Remington Enfield and is in about very good plus condition. FFL or C&R
