Description:
This 1865 Spencer was mfg by Burnside Rifle Company and is stamped Model 1865 on top of the receiver. The gun does not appear to have any real use. The bore is gem mint brand new and the barrel retains litterally all of the original factory blue finish. The receiver has a large percentage of the original case colors with the balance a soft metal. The wood has some storage dings but both of the inspection stamps on the left stock are like new. The wood has never been touched and still has the original raised grain. Even the butt plate retains almost all of the brilliant case colors. The screws have all of their original factory fire blue finish. Of course, it operates like a new gun as well. The stocks are free of any cracks and simply have a few bruises from age and storage but no apparent use. The original loading tube is mint and inside rear stock. Caliber is 56-50. Antique so can be sent anywhere in the world . Serial number 9789
