L. Selbstlader D.R.G.M. 625263 History: The Langenhan was never sold commercially, taken into service by the Imperial German Army during World War 1. This pistol can be DANGEROUS to the firer. The breech block is held in place by a stirrup lock that also forms the rear sight. If the screw loosens and the yoke gets out of position the slide can eject into the face of the shooter. In later issues, the wooden stocks were replaced by checkered hard rubber. The barrel length is 4 inches. Condition: Very Fine throughout. (This is quite easily the nicest example of this pistol I have seen) The bore is bright and shiny. No pits. Some freckling of finish near muzzle. Some fine scratches can be seen in the photos; one on right side near muzzle, and another evident near the safety. The screw slots are peened, in particular the stirrup lock screws. This is typical on these pistols as users were intent to keep them from spontaneously disassembling in use! SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
