This is a truly spectacular Savage 99T that looks very close to how it did when it left the factory in 1937 or 1938.
The pictures depict the overall condition very well. There are some small marks from light handling on the stocks and metal. A scratch on the right reciever, may be seen in one of the photos. There is no freckling or pitting anywhere. The bore is absolutely perfect. Some fading of the case hardening is evident on the finger lever from sunlight. Most of the color is still vibrant. There is also the typical hairline crack behind the reciever in the wrist of the stock. All screws are perfect. Finish is about 98% with thining evident only on the sharp edges under close examination. There is some slight fading on the bottom of the receiver. The checkering is perfect. Note the "long checkering" on the forearm.
