Description:
WINCHESTER MODEL 62 RIFLE .22 S,S,LR S#8xxx. Rifle retains about 90% original but somewhat fading blue and wood shows light finish wear with scattered minor handling marks. There is some silvering on the barrel and the metal is smooth and clean. This is the early model with small pump handle, checkered steel butt plate, roll marked tang and knurled hammer spur and was manufactured in the second year of production. Mechanics appear excellent with very good bore.
The appearance of this early rifle is very pleasing and is a smooth clean gun. It has wear from years of careful use but was never abused.
