Here is a near perfect condition Long Branch Enfield No4 Mk1 * rifle that has been converted to shoot the 7.62 NATO cartridge. Conversion looks to have been done by Canadian Arsenals Limited in Long Branch, Ontario Canada. The stock is beautiful with a serrated rear handguard. There is a 1/4" factory patch on the left side of the forearm and a skuff on the top of the buttstock. Five groove barrel in like new condition. Has a C Mk3 rear sight. The receiver bridge has a clip for using 7.62 stripper clips to load the magazine. The 10 round magazine is unmarked but the follower is marked CR1256 1965. Barrel is marked 7.62 and has no bayonet lugs. A longer extractor claw has been fitted for the use of 7.62 ammunition. Most likely built for long range target competitions this should be a very nice shooting rifle. These rifles dont come up for sale often so here is your chance to own a piece of history.
