Description:
This is a seldom seen Browning Auto-5 Pre-war Grade II 16 gauge with a rare 30" solid rib barrel. The barrel bore is bright and shiny, chambered for 2-9/16" shells and choked full. Interesting thing, I have a box of Winchester 2-9/16" paper facotry shells from 1947 and when standing next to modern 2-3/4" factory shells they are as long. This gun has the original factory butt plate, the original wood finish and blueing. This gun was made in 1934, the first year they put the bust of John Browning on the side of the receiver and it has the serial number or digits thereof in all of the correct places.
