Description:
26 3/4" BARRELS ARE CHOKED MOD AND IMP MOD. 2 1/2 CHAMBERS WITH EXCELLENT BORES. DOUBLE UNDER LUGS AND HIDDEN THIRD FASTENER PROVIDE FOR A TIGHT LOCK UP. 14 3/8" LENGTH OF PULL WITH A 3" DROP. AND YES, IT WEIGHS JUST 6 POUNDS! MOST OF THE BARREL BLUE IS STILL THERE. WOOD IS SOLID, WITH A SLIVER MISSING FROM THE FOREND. VARNISH HAS BEEN ADDED. THE CHECKERING IS STILL SERVICABLE. THIS IS A WONDERFULLY LIGHT WEIGHT AND BALANCED PRE WAR FRENCH MADE HUNTING GUN IN OVERALL VERY GOOD CONDITION. AND, IT HAS THE SWAMPED TOP RIB, CHARACTERISTIC OF FRENCH GUNS. THIS FEATURE CAUSES ONE TO NATURALLY KEEP THEIR CHEEK ON THE STOCK, WHICH CAN BE AN AID TO ACCURATE SHOOTING. NOT SURE HOW OLD THIS GUN IS, AS EARLY VC RECORDS HAVE BEEN LOST. ANY INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED...SOME GUIDELINES: All cartridge firing firearms must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer in your state. Buyer to supply a signed copy of local dealer’s license before shipment will be made. A C&R License is acceptable for C&R firearms, (guns determined to be C&R’s by ATF and/or guns known to be at least 50 years old). Antique firearms and replicas require buyer to supply proof of age. Some areas require an FFL transfer for antique & black powder firearms (New Jersey, NYC, etc.) PAYMENT OPTIONS: Postal Money Orders and Cashier's Checks only are acceptable.
