Beautiful custom 7mm Remington magnum by Roy Vail.Built on a 98 Mauser action,this rifle has full coverage deep cut oak leaf engraving with gold wire work and a georgeous gold elk on the floorplate.The rifle has wonderful detail work in the form of an oak leaf cluster at the comb,an elk carved into the horn grip cap,and fleur pattern borderless checkering.It has a 24" premium barrel,a rosewood forend tip, and 131/2"LOP over the original NoShok pad.The rifle retains 99.9% of the origina wood and metal finish.It is signed by Vail in gold on the barrel and right behind the tang on the stock.Built in the 1950s so it is C&R eligible.Vail only built around 200 rifles in his career,and very few of them were engraved to this standard. A true work of the gunmakers art.
