Description:
Nice Army Colt Military 1911A1 survivor from 1942. Springfield Armory "M" and "VP" in front of trigger guard on left side. Very faint "WB" under slide release. Unusual mark "CBE of H.B. CA." (Huntington Beach, California) in front of slide release. Correct Colt markings on right side of slide with faded blueing (50%) and slide is serial numbered to the frame. This run of guns was pre-parkerizing, so blueing is correct. Barrel appears to have been replaced with no markings except "Colt 45 Auto". Correct hammer, short milled trigger, grips, milled backstrap with lanyard loop and replacement magazine (parkerized). Later model military black flap holster (mfg. Bolen Lea Products) comes with gun.
