Description:
Serial #678031, 6.5mm Swedish, 24” barrel with threaded muzzle and an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1943 dated, and all matching rifle that retains about 97-98% of the original blue finish that has some mild gray and silvering along some of the exposed edges and bearing surfaces. The turned-down bolt retains its original armory bright finish that has dimmed and faded very slightly to gray, and there is a very small and unobtrusive import mark present on the underside of the barrel ahead of the nosecap. The darkly finished stock and handguard exhibit only minor handling marks and surface blemishes in the original military oil finish throughout and the stock disk has been marked multiple times: at “2” and “3”; and at nominal bore diameters 6.53mm, 6.54mm, and 6.55mm. Additionally, the metal rifle grenade range table plaque was removed from the right side of the butt. An original cleaning rod is present but there is no removable cover on the threaded muzzle. This is an excellent, little-used example of a wartime Swedish Mauser. FFL or C&R
