Great Lightweight 30" English Double Gun - Hard to Find Combination of Features
Lightweight - 30" - English Stock - Long LOP to Checkered Butt!
1949 - Webley Scott - 700 - 12ga, 30", 2-3/4", Light Modified / Full (.729 - .016 / .037), Double Triggers, Ejectors, English Stock with Checkered Butt, Splinter Forearm, LOP 14-3/4", Drop 1-7/16" to 2-1/8", Very Slight Cast Off, Weight 6 lbs. 8 oz.
Originally chambered for 2-1/2" shells - the chambers have been lengthened to 2-3/4". The gun is very solid and tight, and the wood is free of cracks or repairs. Shows typical hunting wear for a gun used in the field. The frame retains probably 60% original colors. The barrels have some minor pitting on the exterior and have been reblacked - but don't appear to have been polished. The bores are shiney and in good shape. There are a few areas of minor pitting, but nothing that shows any depth. All finishes original, except the barrels.
