Pictured is a 1863 NEW MODEL SHARPS 3 band rifle in .52 percussion. 30" 6 grove barrel with very good rifling, some scattered spots. Walnut stock and forearm are very good. Patch box lid is inscribed but I can't make out the name. Action is very tight, works fine. The pellet primer spring and plug are not there. Front sight has been replaced. Serial # 342XX. Barrel is stamped "NEW MODEL 1863". Metal has a lot of blueing (some turning a brown patina).
