Description:
Very fine WINCHESTER MODEL 70 / Sears Model 53 bolt action in .30-06 caliber. This rifle was made for Sears by Winchester a post 64 model 70,and came down the same assembly line with an American walnut stock with press checkering. Medal is about 95% Winchester factory blue,with a patch of fine shallow scratches, left side after coming out of the stock, possibly from a metal gun rack mounted in a truck, and bore on the 22" barrel is good but dark colored. Walnut wood is press checkered, and has a russet leather sling. This is a very accurate accurate rifle , and rugged. will do same as your Winchester model 70, but without the price tag! Has a mounted weaver type scope, with good optics. Has a dent on top of scope but doesn't affect the use of the scope. A good field rifle and affordable!
