Description:
Serial #N46148, .303 British, 25? barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1943 surcharged, ?B.(S.A.)? marked rifle that has matching numbers on the bolt and nosecap (arsenal renumbered) and retains 85-90% of an armory reblued finish that has left the markings still crisp and clearly defined and blends smoothly with the plum-brown patina on the balance of the metal, especially on the nosecap. The bolt has a No. 4 cocking-piece and there is a small and unobtrusive import mark on the right side of the wrist socket under the bolt handle. There are some small spots of pinprick pitting on the flattened top of the receiver ring and there is some fading along the exposed edges, projections, and on the bearing surfaces of the bolt. The walnut Enfield-marked stock and handguards are refinished to fine shape and have an armory added oil finish with some minor handling marks and small blemishes. An Ishapore stock bolt is present just ahead of the receiver. The rifle comes with a single magazine, khaki canvassling, and rates very good plus-near fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
