Description:
This 22 rifle was made in 1957. This was the first year of the grooved top receivers. These grooved tops made it easier to mount a clamp on scope base without any alterations to the gun. This 22 has the original sights. There is no add on's or alterations to this rifle. The stock and forend have no cracks or damage. The receiver on each side have two light specks. Other than that the finish has strong blue. The barrel is bright and clean showing little shooting or use. The barrel retains all of it's blue finish. The action is tight with no damage to the disassembly area due to sloppy disassembly and assembly of the gun. This is a nice clean Winchester 22 that can be a great shooter as well as a collector gun. This rifle would rate a 97% overall condition. These Winchester model 63 self loaders are one of Winchester's best designed, best looking 22's ever made. Search for Harry Viezens on google.
