Description:
Nice Original Model 1876 standard rifle with original finish (mostly gray, brown patina) and original stocks, sights and dustcover. The 28 inch octagonal barrel is in good shape with a frosty, lightly pitted, clean bore. Wood has original reddish factory finish with handling marks and one repair to stock on right side, top, next to receiver. The stock is straight grip with steel crescent buttplate and brass sliding trapdoor for cleaning rod compartment. The magazine tube has small dents and handling marks on both sides, but none too bad. Gun functions and would be a shooter with BPC or low pressure smokeless loads (cowboy action).
