Springfield Armory's commemorative M1 Garand. "Iwo Jima" #379 of 1945 in the original crate and unfired. Includes original certificate.
Op-rod is engraved "Iwo Jima, February 23, 1945". Stock engraving features artist interpretation if Raising of the Flag on Iwo Jima, accompanied with insignias of the 3rd, 4th and 5th Divisions of the U.S. Marines that fought on the island. Opposite side is a quote from U. S. Admiral Chester W. Nimitz along with an illustration of the Congressional Medal of Honor.
