Description:
This bayonet comes in a black painted scabbard with a frog showing "mass" cast into brass medallion. Frog is repaired with replaced black leather around scabbard body, rivet is missing. This piece is hand sewn with black thread to the original tab and loop. Belt loop is stamped "1K 50", "H.C." and "Watervliet" on backside. The bayonet shows 70% blue with stains and oxidation socket is developing a brown patina. A good example with a modern repair to the frog that looks good.
