Description:
Offered here is a 1st Generaton Colt Single Action Army Frontier Six Shooter in, what else, .44-40 (.44WCF). Hard rubber Colt grips are not cracked or chipped, but just show normal wear. Barrel retains 60% original blue, cylinder somewhat less, and the bore is excellent. "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on the left side of the barrel is crisp and clear. A recent inspection by a qualified gunsmith indicates the mechanical condition is 100%, and the alignment is perfect. This piece, serial #206XXX, was manufactured in 1901, per Colt letter included, and has been appraised for $5,800; appraisal likewise included. An excellent addition to any collection. Age requires an FFL or C & R.
