Description:
Winchester Model 21, Deluxe Field, 20 gauge, double-barrel shotgun.  Year of manufacture estimated to be 1947.  Current owner collects shotguns and has owned this one for fifteen years.  The gun has a 13 inch LOP and a White Line recoil pad, leading the owner to believe the stock was modified for a woman or a youth.  The job was very professionally done.  The gun as 26-inch barrels, both improved cylinder, with 2 ¾ inch chambers; bores are in excellent condition.  It has single selective trigger and straight grip.  Bluing is 95+ percent – some very light wear around the muzzle, some light wear around the bottom of the boxlock, some on the edges of the trigger guard.  The most significant bluing wear is on the tang and the tail of the trigger guard; see photos.  There is some wear to shiny metal where the forearm contacts the underside of the barrel; see photos.  All lettering on metal surfaces is very crisp. The walnut stock and beavertail forearm is in excellent condition with some light scuffing (line marks), almost none has scratched the finish.  There is one possible very small crack (hard to tell if it is a crack or scratch) on the right side of the gun just above the front of the trigger guard, where the boxlock meets the wood; see the photo and photo inset.  There are a couple very small chips on the bottom of the grip on the left side of the front of the trigger guard.  There appears to a small repair to the wood on the right side of the trigger guard; see photo.  The finish is in excellent conditions, with one very small chip to the finish on the forearm and a little on the belly of the stock and the comb near the rear of the butt.  The most significant wearing of the finish is on the bottom of the grip on either side of the front of the trigger guard where the aforementioned chips and repair are.  The finish on the stock shows minute age crackling over its entire surface.  There is no crackling on the finish of the beavertail forearm.  The checkering is deep and fine with no damage on stock and forearm.  The White Line recoil pad is of hard black rubber, having no cracks, splits, or collapsing.  All lettering is very crisp.  Matching serial numbers – barrel flats and tang.  LOP is 13", drop at comb 1 1/4", drop at heal 2".  Must ship to FFL.  The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  If you wish to any further photos, contact me.    Buyer pays shipping and insurance.
