EXCELLENT EARLY SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1855 RIFLE MUSKET WITH BAYONET. 100% original and in untouched condition. Lock and barrel with matching early date(1858). Perfect markings and bore and nipple look little used. Stock with all the original finish and a mint inspectors cartouche. The best one we have had in years. Most of the nicer conditioned Model 1855’s ( no better than this one) have been re-polished to look mint or near mint and often are sold as such in the $10-15K range. Exceptionally nice and rare in this condition.
