FINE COLT MODEL 1862 NEW POLICE .36 CAL. PERCUSSION 6” REVOLVER. Desirable early example with sought after 6” barrel. One line “ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA” address. All matching and 100% original to the last screw. Fine markings and has the original grey-brown patina with traces of evenly mixed blue. Nice “COLT’S/PATENT” stamp on frame. All serial numbers are crisp including the wedge. The brass trigger guard with minor original silver plate remaining. The original walnut grips still have much original finish. Very tight working order with the cylinder registering perfectly. Excellent bore and chambers. Nice and early Civil War production.
