Description:
CZ-USA Model 3 Bolt Action Rifle in caliber .300 WSM. This rare rifle was manufactured for a very short time (1-2 years) by Montana Rifle Co. of Kalispell, Montana in collaboration with CZ. 100% U.S.A. made! At the time CZ-USA wanted rifles which were chambered in the Winchester Short Magnum (WSM) line of cartridges. CZ-USA collaborated with the Montana Rifle Co. to supply WSM chambered rifles to be sold as CZ Model 3 rifles. These WSM Model 3 rifles would compliment and be marketed with CZ-USA's extensive line of imported Czechoslovakian made rifles. The Model 3's feature Montana Rifle Co.'s excellent 1999 barreled action. The bolt incorporates a claw extractor for controlled round feeding and positive extraction. The trigger is an adjustable type similar to that used on the Model 70 for many decades. One piece bottom metal with hinged floor plate is used. Montana Rifle Co. barrels were sold as custom barrels long before their Model 1999 action was developed. Their barrels are of excellent quality and highly regarded for their accuracy. The rifle has Montana Rifle Co.'s lightweight 24" Sporter barrel which features a target crown. This rifle was purchased new at retail and it has been in storage ever since. It is in like new condition, has never been fired after leaving the factory and is unaltered in any way. General specifications are as follows. Caliber is .300 WSM, 3 cartridge fixed magazine with quick release hinged floor plate, American black walnut stock, fleur-de-lis checkered panels on pistol grip & forearm, Pachmayr non slip butt pad, approx 13 5/8" length of pull, sling swivel studs, 3 position Model 70 style safety, 24" barrel, no sights, low gloss matte style blue, weight is 7 lbs 12 ozs. The rifle includes its original factory box which is serial numbered to the rifle and the instruction manual.
