#3406 Remington Rolling Block Model 1871 U.S. Army Rifle
Springfield Armory made the Model 1871 U.S. Army rifles from 1871-1872. These 50 caliber centerfire rifles had a 36” barrel and the locking action with barrels in the white and a case hardened action. This one has excellent mechanical function and excellent bore. The receiver retains 65-70% dark case colors. The markings are all sharp and crisp. The wood has some dings and bruises but no chips or cracks and is well above average condition. The Remington Rolling Block actions are famous for their strength and durability.
