Description:
Beautiful custom 7mm Rem mag built by Roy Vail of New York state.Built on a Mauser 98 action,this rifle has deep cut full coverage oak leaf engraving with a gold elk game scene on the floorplate.The engraving is bordered by gold wire inlays and Roy Vail's signature in on the barrel in gold.The wood is highly figured and checkered in a fleur pattern borderless checkering.The stock has a shadowline cheekpiece and 131/2"LOP over the original No Shok pad.The barrel is a 24" Douglas premium barrel. Other details include a horn grip cap with an elk carved into it,and a small cluster of oak leaves carved into the top of the pistol grip.Vail's signature is also on the top of the grip behind the tang.The rifle appears to be unfired.A fine example of classic custom gunmaking. C&R eligible.
