Description:
Beautiful antique LeFever with serial number 22286 (Approx. 1897) in fine condition with little use. It is a Sidelock non-ejector. One old repaired crack at the wrist by the lever (see photos). Metal has original case colors and nice damascus finish. All metal and wood numbers match. The stock has a nice figure with an added original Red Head recoil pad. Stock has a few scratches, but nothing that stands out. Barrels are sound and tight on the action, with no rust or defects. Bores are bright and clear with no pitts or bulges. 30" Barrels, double trigger, 13.5" LOP., and 8.5 lbs. weight. This double would make a fine addition to any collection. As with any gun of this vintage, you would be well advised to have it checked by a licensed gun smith before firing.
