The A.H. Fox C Grade guns are considered by many to be the most attractive of the Fox guns. There are higher grades but the C Grade engraving is elegant. This is a rare gun, as they only produced 305 C Grade Fox guns in 16ga. and only 202 in Philly made guns. This fine Philly Fox, sn301251, was made in 1920. The gun has been beautifully restocked with nice English walnut showing an English style butt stock with proper Fox long tang trigger guard and splinter forearm. The work was done to historical perfection in every detail, including shaping and checkering pattern. THE DIFFERENCE IS WE LEFT THE LENGTH OF PULL 14 3/4" TO THE END OF THE WOOD FROM A REAR POSITION SINGLE TRIGGER. This equates to a 15 3/4" LOP if it were a two trigger gun. FOR TALL SHOOTERS, YOU CAN ADD A BUTT PLATE, OR A PAD TO EXTEND THE LOP BEYOND ANYTHING YOU CAN FIND IN AN ORIGINAL FACTORY STOCKED FOX. AND NO WAITING FOR A PROPER RESTOCK PROJECT. For guys that don't need a long LOP, we will cut the existing stock to your LOP and finish the way you prefer; butt plate, checkered butt, rubber pad, or leather covered pad. We can even bend the stock to suit your needs. Finally you have choices and a vintage American classic that fits. With Doug Turnbull Restorations case color and trigger guard blue and new wood the gun is an "as new" gun, completely stripped, cleaned, inspected, and lubricated for decades of trouble free use. What a great investment that you can enjoy afield or at the gun club.

The 28” number 3 weight barrels are choked IC/M (.008/.021), excellent bores, internal bore diameter .658/.657, minimum barrel wall thickness 40 thousandths right, 38 thousandths left, tight ribs, 97% factory original blue with light handling marks, no dents or dings, double ivory beads, strong well timed ejectors, tight on breech face and hinge pin, a good strong set of barrels
