Description:
L.C. Smith Crown Grade 12 Gauge SxS Shotgun
2 BARREL TRAP / SKEET SET, LIKE NEW

General Specs: LC Smith, Year 1923, 12 Gauge, 28"=6lbs 14oz ; 7 1/2lbs
Serial Number: FWE56380

The L.C. Smith Crown Grade is one of the most handsomely engraved of ANY American vintage shotguns.  There were 625 Crown Grade 12ga. guns made.  They are rare, collectible, investment quality, and worthy of your collection.  This gun, snFWE56380 shipped in 1923, comes with a L.C. Smith Gun Collectors Association letter documenting the details of this gun, including the second set of barrels added at a later date.  Cased in an oak and leather case with canvas cover and accessories, it is a fully restored Elsie with Doug Turnbull Restorations doing the case color and charcoal blue trigger guard.  Likely set up for Skeet and Trap, it is a very versatile set, with the 26" barrels sporting a Skeet style beavertail and SK1 and SK2 chokes (.008/.013, great for upland/sporting clays, and a 28" set of barrels with IM/F chokes (.030/.039) and a splinter forend.  What a pheasant or sharptail gun this would make!  Nice assortment of choke choices for all your needs.  Restored guns are decidedly taking over the market place in the way of popularity, thanks to the quality work of Doug Turnbull and his crew.  This is a beautiful, investment quality set that you can use, enjoy, and watch it grow in value.
