#3589 S&W Model 3 Russian First Model 44 S&W Russian With 8” Barrel
This is really a nice S&W First Model Russian. It is serial number 19981 and is all matching assembly numbers. It retains 85% frame blue, 70% cylinder blue and 60% barrel blue. The grips are very fine condition and are matching to this gun. The cylinder and bore condition is excellent, bright and shinny with strong rifling. The mechanical function is excellent, crisp and tight. It appears the lanyard ring was removed and a nice screw was installed in its place. These revolver were made from 1871-1874I have ordered a S&W Factory Letter on this revolver. John Westley Hardin was known to have owned one with serial number 235274.
